1 “Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the descendants of the captivity were building the temple of the Lord God of Israel,
2 they came to Zerubbabel and the heads of the fathers’ houses, and said to them, “Let us build with you, for we seek your God as you do; and we have sacrificed to Him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us here.”
3 But Zerubbabel and Jeshua and the rest of the heads of the fathers’ houses of Israel said to them, “You may do nothing with us to build a house for our God; but we alone will build to the Lord God of Israel, as King Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us.”
4 Then the people of the land tried to discourage the people of Judah. They troubled them in building,
5 and hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.” (Ezra 4:1-5 NKJV)
- Be careful who you let close to you especially when you are walking in your purpose. satan will use anybody that’s willing to be used. Some people will try to act like they are for you when in reality they just want to get close to you for their own hidden agenda. Since they know they can’t flat out come as an enemy they will try to disguise themselves as a “friend”. That’s why it’s so important to be able to discern these things and build your relationship with Daddy God and my Bro Jesus.
- Once you discern who’s not for you, deny people access to you. Some people may try to discourage you, frustrate you, lie on you and so much more. However, nobody can stop Daddy God’s plan for our lives if we don’t feed into the schemes. What people say or do does not matter. What really matters is how we react to the situations sent to destroy us and get in our way so we don’t fulfill our purpose.
