4 “Afterward it happened that he loved a woman in the Valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. 5 And the Lords of the Philistines came up to her and said to her, “Entice him, and find out where his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and every one of us will give you eleven hundred pieces of silver.” (Judges 16:4-5 NKJV)
Delilah in the Bible was a Philistine women who the Philistines (Samson’s Enemy) bribed to entrap Samson. Samson was a judge but he was also the strongest man in the Bible (Physically). Delilah persistently kept bugging him into revealing the secret of his strength which was his long hair. She took advantage of his confidence to betray him to his enemies and was successful. In the end the Philistines found out his strength was in his hair so they cut it and Samson lost his strength and his anointing. Samson was very anointed but lost it because He couldn’t control his lust and was always chasing after women instead of God.
⁃ the Delilah spirit can be in a male or female. With all this being said who you are connected to matters. Being in union with the wrong person can cause you everything. This applies to any type of relationship (family, friendship, etc) However the easiest way satan can get someone is through a romantic relationship. Most times when you have a calling on your life with Daddy God satan will try to stop that through the wrong relationship.
⁃ Be careful of the people around you. Pray about everybody in your life because some people are on assignment from satan. These people can pretend so well but only want to find out what your weaknesses, strengths, secrets, etc are to destroy you. This is why it’s important to have a personal relationship (not religion) with Daddy God and my Bro Jesus.. so you’ll be able to discern the spirits and intentions behind people.

Many times I feel like having a personal relationship with God has nothing to do with**religion** but just Me and My God.

Amen! & that is exactly how it is supposed to be. Religion has made it out to be superficial when in reality God is looking for an intimate relationship with us.
