20 “Then Samuel said to the people, “Do not fear. You have done all this wickedness; yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. 21 And do not turn aside; for then you would go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they are nothing.” (I Samuel 12:20-21 NKJV)
⁃ Daddy God wants us to serve Him with all our heart and mind. Other idols (physical other gods, money, other people or whatever else you put above Him) will not make you whole. You can try to run to something else that’s not Daddy God or Jesus but it will not fulfill you in the long run it’s just temporary. When the adrenaline comes down you’ll be right back to feeling empty. The peace, love, healing, wholeness, etc we look for in the world can only be found in Daddy God and Jesus. Our identity lies in Christ not in the world. The world will turn its back on you but Daddy God and Jesus will never.
