“Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matthew 15:7-9 NKJV)
⁃ The religious spirit is running rampage. This spirit takes over mainly the church. It’s like the Pharisees and Sadducees in the Bible. Just because you grew up in the church your whole life, know of God & Jesus, etc does not mean the Holy Spirit is working in you. It’s impossible to stay the same person when you have the Holy Spirit working through you. If you are still the same… most times it’s just “tradition”. You can know of God and Jesus and not have an actually relationship with Them. This is why it is relationship over religion.
⁃ You can talk about God and Jesus all you want but God knows the heart of everyone. It might look good on the outside but you will know people by their fruits (do they have the fruits of the spirit: love, kindness, gentleness, patience, etc. How do they treat others?, etc) You can’t act like you know Them and mislead others, treat people bad, have no love in your heart, unforgiveness, bitterness, envy, jealousy, gossip, etc. These things are not of God, this is where you need to pray, fast and/ or get deliverance.
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV)
