Fruitful Growth In The Faith‼️

“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (II Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Add to your FAITH virtue (moral cleanliness, goodness, righteousness).

To VIRTUE knowledge (an understanding, a recognition, or an acknowledgment).

To KNOWLEDGE self-control (the ability to control yourself: emotions, actions, and thoughts).

To SELF-CONTROL perseverance (continuing steadfastly in faith, hope, or a course of action despite difficulties, trials, or obstacles).

To PERSEVERANCE godliness (living a life of reverence and devotion to God).

To GODLINESS brotherly kindness (care for others).

To BROTHERLY KINDNESS love (be selfless instead of selfish; be committed through the good & bad).

  • “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (I Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

IF you have all these things you will NEITHER be barren or unfruitful (both can mean: spiritual dryness, lack of productivity/ effectiveness) in the KNOWLEDGE of the Lord.

For he who lacks these things is shortsighted (no discernment), even to blindness (death of spiritual life), and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent (persistent) to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble (sin or lose faith).

For so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly (more than enough; overflow) into the everlasting (without end) kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
