“Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.” (Job 1:20-22 NKJV)
In the scripture we see Job lost it all but in the midst of chaos he did not turn his back on God.
- Can you still praise God even when things don’t go your way? Is God still good even when you lose the things you wanted to keep forever? Can you sit in the pain without blaming God? This life will have tribulations but remember Jesus already overcame and paid the price for it all. You can’t always predict or control what will happen to you but we can always choose how we will respond to the circumstances. Remember God can make EVERYTHING (whether good or bad) work together for our good.
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NKJV)
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28 NKJV)

I put my faith in Jesus
(Oh, my anchor) my anchor to the ground
(I’m sick here with Jesus) my hope and firm foundation
(He’ll never let) He’ll never let me down
He’ll never let me down
He’ll never let me down
… So, I’ll still bless You
In the middle of the storm
In the middle of my trial
Oh, Father, I still bless You
In the middle of the road
When I don’t know where to go…
