For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NKJV)
Spiritual warfare is the unseen battle between good and evil in the spiritual realm. This can come in the form of mental attacks sent by the enemy to try to torment you or get you to do the opposite of what God has instructed you to do. It can also look like confusion, doubt, fear, negative self talk, temptation, etc. The purpose is to try to get you to stop doing what you are doing for the Lord and get you out of alignment. Just know when you start obeying Jesus the attacks will come. The enemy’s only goal in this life is to try to get your soul and he will not stop… and neither should you.
How do you fight back?
- Run to the Lord
- Dress for battle & put on your armor (Ephesians 6:10-18)
- Read & Declare the Word
- Prayer
- Fasting
- Worship
