“Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:3-6 NKJV)
- Jesus states in His Word we must be born again of water and Spirit. Baptism is a requirement for salvation not an option. Also receiving the Holy Spirit and making room for Him to dwell in your temple is a necessity. We cannot do any work for the Kingdom of God without the Holy Spirt’s leading. However there are some people that like to pick and choose what to follow instead of obeying exactly what the Word says. Too many people get stuck in religion instead of having an actual relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. In other instances too many people get stuck in theology and what they think things should be like instead of letting the Holy Spirit take control. Obey what the Word says and keep your feelings out of it.
