“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.” (Job 42:5-6 NKJV)
As we can see here Job “heard” of God by hearing before He lost it all. But the storm caused Him to now “see” God. Our storms whether we like to admit it or not actually do shape and strengthen our walk with Christ if we let them. Our storms help us get to know God for Himself instead of just knowing Him as the one who can provide you with blessings. God is way more than a provider, He is a friend, a protector, a healer, a father, and so much more. Sometimes we have such a limited view of God that He has to reveal His fullness to us in the only way we would be receptive to listen.. unfortunately sometimes that is through pain. But remember in the midst of the pain and in your brokenness you have the realest person by your side and His name is Jesus Christ. You will also have the helper and our best friend the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you. Hold on to them in your storm and I promise you will be alright. The storm is not here to harm you but to shape/ strengthen you.
“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.” (Psalms 34:18-19 NKJV)
“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. (Psalms 30:5 NKJV)
