“The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.’ ” Mark 1:3 NKJV
- The wilderness before the blessings matter as well. People get so caught up in getting the final results that they forget the preparation that needs to happen in between. What good is it to get blessing you will not be able to maintain for a lifetime. This is where the wilderness matters. This is where we learn to trust God on deeper levels. This is where transformation happens. There is a specific version of each of us God requires for what we ask for (if it is in His will for us). So if you find yourself in a wilderness season don’t look at it as “why me” change your perspective. It’s not happening to you… it’s happening for you. It’s a time of testing, purification, and dependence on God. Anybody can trust god when it is good but can you trust him when your circumstances do not match the promises he gave you. Furthermore, remember you are not alone and Jesus is right there with you. God will make a way in the wilderness when the time is right. Also when he gets you out do NOT forget God and Jesus.
“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19 NKJV)
“I knew you in the wilderness, In the land of great drought. When they had pasture, they were filled; They were filled and their heart was exalted; Therefore they forgot Me.” (Hosea 13:5-7)
