19 “Remember this, my dear brothers and sisters! Everyone must be quick to listen, but slow to speak and slow to become angry. 20 “Human anger does not achieve God’s righteous purpose. 21 So get rid of every filthy habit and all wicked conduct. Submit to God and accept the word that he plants in your hearts, which is able to save you. 22 “Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice.” (James 1:19-22 GNT)

God does not only want us to seek His word, He wants us to live by His laws. For what good does it do to know all of His words and scriptures but live the opposite lifestyle of what you know. For example, it is like when you are going to cook some white rice and you know the ingredients you need are oil, salt, water, the rice and a little bit of Adobo seasoning. Least to say when the time comes to make the rice you put butter, sugar, water and the rice. How would you feel when your rice turns out sweet? You knew the ingredients to the perfect flavorful white rice you envisioned but did the complete opposite.
All in all, we make the choices and alter the direction our life goes in. We have to gain more knowledge but also wisdom. We can learn knowledge but wisdom is what we gain from life experiences. Therefore do good by God and give Him all the praise. Give Jesus all the Glory because you can not get to the Father without getting to the Son first. We can pray all we want but what really is going to get us favored is repentance. Repenting from our sins is the ultimate step in life to get closer to God. Anyways, always make sure your words and your actions match.
