People will persecute you when you choose to do good. People will persecute you when you follow Christ. People will persecute you because you are choosing to not sin and do evil. People will persecute you simply because you are you in Christ. But listen if even Yeshua and all the Prophets in the Bible were persecuted what can we expect to be done to us? People will tell lies about you to try to bring you down because of jealousy. People will try to insult you to make themselves feel better. Yet, 10 “Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires: the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.” 11 Happy are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of lies against you because you are my followers.” (Matthew 5:10-11)
When you know what your identity is and who you belong to you are unstoppable. For we are not from this world but God chooses us of this world. I know I belong to my father Yahweh and brother Yeshua. I know I am a child of God therefore “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” (Isaiah 54:17) My identity resides in Christ and I am who I say I am. Don’t talk yourself down because of what others think of you. They are not the ones living your life for you. Don’t feel unworthy because of your past mistakes. When we genuinely repent and confess our sins and turn from our wicked ways God forgives us and we have a clean slate. Our biggest enemy is our mind and what we choose to believe. Therefore, whatever you do stay true to you and, resist temptation and step into who God knows you can be.
