41 “I am not looking for human praise.” 42 “But I know what kind of people you are, and I know that you have no love for God in your hearts. 43 I have come with my Father’s authority, but you have not received me; when, however, someone comes with his own authority, you will receive him. 44 You like to receive praise from one another, but you do not try to win praise from the one who alone is God; how, then, can you believe me?” (John 5:42-44 GNT) The world would rather praise each other than the creator itself. How is it that we look for value in other people than in the one who gives us our value? People do not give us our worth, our worth is already within us. We should not put our trust in man alone because people switch up but our God remains the same everyday and forever. However, all God and Jesus wants from us is our love to be acknowledged and praised. Yet, the world is so backwards and would rather do these things for human beings that will not appreciate it. You think you’re an outcast? You think nobody loves you? Now imagine how rejected God and Jesus feel and despite of it all they are always there waiting on us.
