15 “So be careful how you live. Don’t live like ignorant people, but like wise people. 16 Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days. 17 Don’t be fools, then, but try to find out what the Lord wants you to do.” (Ephesians 5:15-17 GNT)
When we walk with Christ we can’t just live anyway we want. There’s a lifestyle we used to live before Christ and then there’s a different lifestyle we have to transition to and maintain with Christ. There’s so much more to this world than “living to make money or possess things”. We can only see what happens in the natural but God sees ways more. There’s a spiritual battle going on in the world and the only way to see it is through Christ. Nothing just happens in the natural world, first it had to manifest in the spiritual realm.
Without a question of doubt when I meet Jesus I want to hear “Well done good and faithful servant”. Don’t you want to hear that too? The only way to hear this is by doing everything our Father in Heaven requires of us. We have to take advantage of every opportunity God blessed us with and use every gift and talent He has given us. I definitely do not want to hear “I never knew you” or “you wicked servant”. Especially during these days because things are only going to get worse before it gets better.
The only way to get through the seasons of hardship is with Jesus. Christ will give us strength, wisdom, knowledge and everything that we need during these hard times. Don’t try to figure everything out on your own. I know in my personal experience, the decisions I’ve made without including Christ in it only lead me destruction. Be honest with God and Jesus because whatever you lack they will supply. We don’t have to always get everything right, Christ knows we are human and we will make mistakes but always repent.
