“For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.” (Psalms 5:12 NKJV) This is the scripture I prayed before my court case on Friday and the day before. God can do anything and He is ready to help His people in times of trouble. Around January I got into a fight with my husband who was then my boyfriend. We were split up for months and were living in different states before He came back in December. During our time apart I thought we were done for good but at some point God had me praying and fasting for Him. I didn’t understand why I had to do that until God revealed to me that He was bringing Him back a new person with a heart for Jesus. When He came back we were both healing and trying to work things out. However, when you decide to heal it’s not as easy as some people may think. Healing is not a perfect linear process. Sometimes you’ll find yourself a couple steps backwards in your progress but don’t give up nor beat yourself up just keep going.
Here is an imperfect person telling you even though I am a follower of Jesus Christ sometimes I mess up. Anyways, in January my husband and I got into a horrible argument and the neighbors called the cops. We argued about something that happened in the past and that’s was so stupid. I never had an encounter with cops, they put me in handcuffs and took me to jail. Within a couple hours I got out and I had to wait for my court appearances. Yet, this experience was just a life lesson for me. When God brought my husband to me, He made my husband a new person so the old person doesn’t exist anymore. It took a while for my emotions and feelings to understand that. On Friday months after that incident occurred, I got the victory in my court case and it was dismissed. No charges were filed by the DEA. All the Glory goes to God. If God did it for me, He can do it for you too. We are imperfect humans and even though we try to live righteousness, sometimes we will mess up.
