God Can Use What You Have‼️

1 “A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.” 2 So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” 3 Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. 4 And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.” 5 So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. 6 Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. 7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.” (II Kings 4:1-7 NKJV)

⁃ Sometimes we look at what we have and think it is not enough. We might want more or compare it with that of someone else. But let me tell you that God can do miracles with just a little bit. You don’t need what anybody else has. What you already possess is enough. Your gifts and talents will make room for you but you just have to put them to use. Work what God has blessed you with until the doors start to open. Be ready in and out of season because you never know when the door you are waiting on will be open. (Think about the story of the ten virgins with the lamp in Matthew 25:1-13. Five were wise and ready and the other five were foolish and got left behind.)

1 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. 6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. 11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” (Matthew 25:1-13 NKJV)

• “A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.” (Proverbs 18:16 NKJV)

⁃ Also we might want God to send us people to help us with our purpose and calling. But sometimes help will not come from the outside because God already put everything you need inside of you. You can tell how big your anointing is by the level of attacks in your life. satan doesn’t attack things that have no value. satan just wants to stop us from walking into the fullness of who God created us to be because if he can keep us bound, others will be bound too. Our purpose is bigger than just us when God sets us free that is a door for us to help set others free as well.
