14 “Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah: “I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheepbreeder And a tender of sycamore fruit. 15 Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’” (Amos 7:14-15 NKJV)
In this story we see that Amos before Daddy God called Him to be a prophet was a sheep breeder and a tender of sycamore fruits. These positions were not deemed as the best back in those days. Also Amos indicated he didn’t have any background experience in prophesying or came from a family where there were prophets.
- With this being said Daddy God can use anybody He wants for His kingdom and to bring Him and Jesus glory. It doesn’t matter who you were before or what the world thinks of you. The world may view you as an outcast, a black sheep, unworthy, etc. But When Daddy God calls you and positions you no man can stop it or tear you down. Don’t let fear stop you. If He calls you to it best believe you are more than qualified for the job. He will also equip you for what He has called you to do. You don’t have to be perfect you just have to be obedient and willing to do whatever He has called you to do. Those who were last can become first at any moment.
