The Lord is not testing the strength of our faith, He is testing the authenticity. He’s not testing your faith to see if we will quit, He’s testing to see how real we are. He doesn’t care how strong we are, He cares how genuinely you feel about what you want and that no matter your current circumstances you’ll still believe. Are we more interested in God or the world?
Do not let the world around you change your opinion on yourself. The only opinion that matters is Gods because He is the only judge. Be fearless, but only fear the Lord. Even though the trials may seem big our God is bigger. Remember after every storm a rainbow appears. Look forward to that rainbow every time and I guarantee you’ll be okay. Our God is a faithful God, for Jesus endured so much for us.
How can we say we honor God and do the things we do? You cannot be the judge and love the judge (Jesus). Do not just live in the words of Christ but feed it to your spirit. Jesus is not a religion, you cannot experience His goodness if you just treat Him like an experiment. You need to build a relationship with Jesus and keep Him in mind 24/7 so you will not fall into temptation. Satan tried to test/tempt Jesus in the desert and it did not work.
1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’ (Matthew 4:1-11)
