Scars

The outside looks so beautiful

Now let me show you my scars

Christ is my strength (Philippians 4:13)

Scars depending on which way you use it can have different types of meaning. I have many scars physically and emotionally. I have this scar on my forehead that I got when I was young in the Dominican Republic. I was crossing the street and instead of looking forward I was looking at a car. Little did I know there was a step and I fell and had to get stitches on my forehead. Huh kind of reminds me of life… not many of us follow God’s ways therefore we have consequences.

Emotionally I had many scars. I had other people’s traumas projected unto me. I had trauma and pain I have inflicted upon myself. However, I am mentally free in the essence that when I get discouraged I can count on God to uplift me. Yet I cannot hate the circumstances that have strengthened me. I consider the things that hurt us growing pains because things happen for a reason. Always remember your battles scars are beautiful but they do not define who you are as a person.
