- 7 “So then, submit to God. Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you. 8 Come near to God, and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners! Purify your hearts, you hypocrites! 9 Be sorrowful, cry, and weep; change your laughter into crying, your joy into gloom! 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” (James 4:7-10)
Every fear, trouble, worry, bad thought, feeling of insecurity, of not being good enough, depression, anxiety, etc… are all mind games from the devil. Its job is to stop what God has for us. Satan can only get in our minds but not our hearts. He is not after you or your possessions. He wants to steal your faith in God and your Destiny. Hostility and confusion in your family, etc to get power. He’s always against God. Don’t be afraid of Satan because not even him is more powerful to God. Satan might be evil but he still has to answer to God. Don’t forget he’s a fallen angel, nothing special about him. He will use tactics to get to you if you let him. He can use intimidation, deception, isolation, persistence, slander, gossip, etc. Feed your spirit with the word of God and you will have the full armor of God protecting you.
- 10 “ Finally, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power. 11 Put on all the armor that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil’s evil tricks. 12 For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. 13 So put on God’s armor now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy’s attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground. 14 So stand ready, with truth as a belt tight around your waist, with righteousness as your breastplate, 15 and as your shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace. 16 At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One. 17 And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. (Ephesians 6:10-17 GNT)
