Fasting

Lately I have not been able to fast like I used to. Fasting is good because you’ll be able to hear God better. Fasting helps you develop good behavior and strengthens you and your relationship with my Father, my Brother Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I have been feeling this urge to fast because there have been a lot of attacks by the enemy in my life. I can’t dream like I used to or the enemy would try to give me bad dreams. Every time I try to get my alone time with my Father, my Brother, and the Holy Spirit the enemy would try to send distractions my way. I have not been able to focus as I used to. Furthermore, when I start to fast I suddenly get this urge to eat and I have been failing miserably at it. But not anymore, today is the day I defeat it all. I’m going to fast. My dreams will be good again. I’ll be able to hear my Father more.

I can’t do any of this by my own strength. Therefore, I’m asking my Father for some help. I know I’ll be able to do it this time because “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13) If this has been happening to you know you are not alone. Let’s say a prayer to my father. Prayer: Dear Lord, please give me the strength to complete this fast. Whenever the temptations come around from the enemy may you rebuke it all. In the name of Jesus of Nazareth I rebuke any thoughts that are not of you and I rebuke any distractions that will try to stop me from accomplishing your will. Holy Spirit guide me and use me. Lord, let your will be done in my life. In Jesus Name Amen! Now when I’m done fasting I’ll give you guys an update or I’ll update you guys on my journey along the way.
