Calming The Storm In Me

Have you ever reacted so crazy to something before? Then after you let God work things out in you, it doesn’t affect you anymore? Yeah the things that once made me angry do not even phase me anymore. This is what I love about my walk with God. I can trust Jesus will fight my battles for me. “Give yourself to the Lord; trust in him, and he will help you;” (‭‭Psalm‬ ‭37:5‬ ‭GNT‬‬) Before Jesus came into my life I used to be like a bomb. Tic tic tic and then boom I could go zero to one hundred real quick. I did not know how to control my emotions for the sake of me. Now I’m just like “oh ok Jesus got that for me.” I love it here and I love the peace they bring me each day.

When you have intent to die to your old self and emerge into the new you, the you Yahweh knows you can be; life gets way better. “Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭GNT‬‬) I have to consult God for everything first. I’m so scared of them that I want to do everything that is pleasing to them. I’ve done things wrong for so long that nothing is worth compromising my relationship with my Father Yahweh and Brother Yeshua.

The places that used to get me out of character are not even worth it to me anymore. I know who I am in Christ and who I belong to. Sometimes you don’t understand why things happen. However, later on when the same tests appear you see what God was trying to do all along. At this point whatever God does in my life I trust it. He is the captain and I am the boat. 1 “I am the real vine, and my Father is the gardener.” 2 “He breaks off every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and he prunes every branch that does bear fruit, so that it will be clean and bear more fruit.” (‭‭John‬ ‭15:1-2‬)
