1 “In the meantime Saul kept up his violent threats of murder against the followers of the Lord. He went to the High Priest 2 and asked for letters of introduction to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he should find there any followers of the Way of the Lord, he would be able to arrest them, both men and women, and bring them back to Jerusalem.” 3 “As Saul was coming near the city of Damascus, suddenly a light from the sky flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute me?” 5 “Who are you, Lord?” he asked. “I am Jesus, whom you persecute,” the voice said. 6 “But get up and go into the city, where you will be told what you must do.” 7 The men who were traveling with Saul had stopped, not saying a word; they heard the voice but could not see anyone. 8 Saul got up from the ground and opened his eyes, but could not see a thing. So they took him by the hand and led him into Damascus. 9 For three days he was not able to see, and during that time he did not eat or drink anything.” (Acts 9:3-9 GNT)
13 “Ananias answered, “Lord, many people have told me about this man and about all the terrible things he has done to your people in Jerusalem. 14 And he has come to Damascus with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who worship you.” 15 The Lord said to him, “Go, because I have chosen him to serve me, to make my name known to Gentiles and kings and to the people of Israel. 16 And I myself will show him all that he must suffer for my sake.” 17 So Ananias went, entered the house where Saul was, and placed his hands on him. “Brother Saul,” he said, “the Lord has sent me—Jesus himself, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here. He sent me so that you might see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 At once something like fish scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he was able to see again. He stood up and was baptized; 19 and after he had eaten, his strength came back. Saul stayed for a few days with the believers in Damascus.” 19 “and after he had eaten, his strength came back. Yeshua is a redeemer, a waymaker, a restorer and so much more. It does not matter how bad you have sinned. It does not matter if you are the worst of the worst. Yahweh can still save you and use you for His glory. For example: let’s look at the Apostle Paul before he was Paul he was Saul a killer of Christians. He used to go around killing Christians and was so proud of that. His beliefs were the opposite of who Yeshua is. Then one day while Saul was on his way to Demascus Yeshua appeared to him and the light was so powerful he fell down and was blind for three days. In those three days he reflected his life decisions and once his sight came back he instantly went around preaching God’s words. The believers couldn’t believe He has changed because of Paul’s history. In spite of it all Paul gave his life to Yeshua and the people of his old crew wanted to kill him now in return. This goes to show you Yeshua will step out and bring anybody out of the darkness and to Him. If Yeshua wants to change your life around He is the only one who can. You can not rely on a person to change you because we are only humans and we make mistakes. Nevertheless, when you surrender to Yeshua he can make you whole again. His presence should lead you to conversion and humility.
Yeshua will break all strongholds, He will forgive your sins, and you will be made new in Him. In spite of who Paul was now he is being used in the Bible and with his story you can see how Yahweh can use anybody. One thing about Paul was that he never forgot where he came from, he used his story to inspire others. We must do the same because I was not perfect either. I used to do sinful things and make a lot of wrong choices before I gave my life to Jesus. I used to live in the darkness but Yeshua brought light into my life. I was in a very dark place after losing everything from relationships to my finances and more. But Yeshua came to my rescue and I was once blind but now I can see. Nobody forced me to do this. I chose to live my life that pleases Yahweh and Yeshua because they have given me love and the peace I’ve never had anywhere else. They loved me too much to leave me where I was. Our lives should reflect Jesus work within us. After we give our life to Yeshua the devil no longer has a hold on us. The only thing the devil can try to use against us is our past. However, here is the trick that will not be you anymore therefore it’s up to you if you let it affect you. Yahweh and Yeshua forget our past and forgive our sins once we give our lives to them.
