“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.” (Joel 2:25 NKJV)
I’ve been in the season of waiting and testing, trials and tribulations, roadblock after roadblock but I refuse to succumb to the schemes of the enemy. Before it gets better I feel at times it could only get worse. However, these are the comforting words that my Savior reminds me of today. It does not matter what storms I’ve had to endure or how long I’ve been in this waiting season because God is about to restore everything back to me. I might have had years of pain but in this season coming up just in a matter of months I’m about to reap what I have been sowing. God is about to restore everything that the locust has eaten and the enemy has tried to steal, kill, or destroy. In this next season God will repair it all because my breakthrough is close.
If you’re in a season like the one I’m in… DO NOT GIVE UP! Hold on a little bit longer. If you have been planting seeds… BE PATIENT! Those seeds are about to sprout. Think about gardening. When you plant a seed, that seed doesn’t turn into a flower in the next five minutes. After you plant the seed we have to wait months until we see the results we want. In the process of waiting we have to nourish the seed, water it, and be patient as it grows and blossoms. In a similar aspect that’s what happens to us. God gives us a seed and when we are ready we plant it. The seed can be an idea, project, business, etc. Little by little with patience we sow into the seed. Over time that seed will blossom and all your work will be noticed.
You can’t tell how a seed will blossom; you only have the package that tells you what it could potentially be. The only way to be sure is to plant the seed and watch it go through the pruning stage. Only once the pruning stage has passed we will be able to witness with our own eyes what it has become. There’s a season for everything. Depending on the harvest you are in you will be able to determine what is coming next. Everything is an unchanging cycle. God makes the same things happen over and over again. “What has happened before will happen again. What has been done before will be done again. There is nothing new in the whole world.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9 GNT)
When a storm occurs a rainbow appears. Sometimes if it’s been hot for a while, rain comes to cool things down. You can relate these changes to our own life. After we go through trials and tribulations blessings appear. The blessings come to remind us that God will never leave us nor forsake us. (Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV) “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4 NKJV) Moving forward, when we are in a season of blessings we can guarantee the season to endure will come right afterwards. God does this to keep a balance. The trials keep us humble and walking in accordance to God’s will for our life.
