Forgiveness

“And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

Forgiveness is something so hard to do but necessary for our sanity. Forgiveness is a part of obedience. We are choosing to let God heal us. We are choosing to forgive others just like Christ has forgiven us. We must strive to forgive others if we want to look like Christ. Forgiveness is not for the other person but for ourselves. Forgiveness is how we avoid resentment, bitterness, anger, etc. Forgiveness doesn’t mean we forget the wrongs others have caused us or the pain, it just means we are choosing not to let something else or the actions of other people change who we are.
