2 “My brothers and sisters, consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way, 3 for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure.” (James 1:2-3 GNT) Don’t get too stuck in the pain that you forget everything has a purpose and a reason in life. Most of the trials we face are to strengthen us. We have to endure the tribulations to learn the lessons. There are certain things in life you can only learn through experiences. Most of the things that come our way to break us we either ignored the signs or were too stubborn to face the truth.
“But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives generously and graciously to all.” (James 1:5 GNT) Whenever we feel lost or misguided, just pray. Prayer can change anything and give you clarity. No matter how bad you are, when you turn to the Lord and because He is a merciful God, He will hear you. God is good all the time and a very graceful God. Grace is when God blesses us with more than we deserve not because He needs to but because He loves us unconditionally. No matter how far we wonder from Him, He will find us.
“But when you pray, you must believe and not doubt at all. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is driven and blown about by the wind.” (James 1:6 GNT) Your Faith has to be bigger than your problems. You cannot say you believe in God and live your life with stress and worries. Give your problems to Him because the storm doesn’t last forever. After every storm a rainbow appears and that is God’s mercy and blessings raining upon you. Remember before the blessings, lessons have to come. Whenever you doubt Him is like when you’re thirsty but you drink alcohol instead of water.
“People like that, unable to make up their minds and undecided in all they do, must not think that they will receive anything from the Lord.” (James 1:7-8 GNT) If you are lukewarm all the time the Lord can not bless you. Lukewarm is when you are neither hot or cold but right in the middle. You don’t know what decisions to make. When you are indecisive about everything You don’t know what is in your heart’s desire. Even though God already knows what we need before we do, He still wants us to know. Just make sure you seek your happiness in the Lord. In everything you do ask Him for guidance first.
