Killing the old self is necessary in order to emerge into our best self. We have to unlearn all the trauma, toxic traits, negative thoughts, etc that we ‘ve been taught or taught ourselves. Everyday we have to let God transform us into the person He knows we can be. This is what I call growth. “Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God, what is good and pleasing to him and is perfect.” (Romans 12:2 GNT) Whatever you see on social media or in someone else’s life don’t compare it to yours. Don’t ask yourself why not you? Instead let Jesus work on you, so it can be you. This world is not going to give you what you need, God is. God moves everyone at different paces and works on everyone individually.
Social media, followers, likes, etc are not worth anything if they are not being used for the right reasons. Our mission in life is to find our way back to Jesus and to help others find their way back to Him. Life is about helping others through your life experiences, loving others, loving yourself, influencing others towards a positive/good lifestyle and God, spreading the Gospel (the Bible, Scriptures), not only talking by faith but walking in faith, following all of God’s commandments. “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” (Revelation 22:14 KJV) Whoever finds Jesus and abides in Him will live a happy and fulfilling lifestyle. I’m not saying there won’t be bad days or you won’t feel pain but now you will have the tactics to overcome it all.
