Women: Rise Up

How come society tries to devalue women so much? Women are set to different standards than men. When It comes to jobs women get lower positions and pay than men. Women can’t work in certain job careers because they are not “masculine” enough. In other words some people would say “this is a man’s job”. Furthermore, in relationships a woman is expected to act appropriately and remain loyal if not she is considered a whore. Meanwhile men can play games, manipulate, cheat, and use women. In the household a woman is expected to cook, clean, take care of the kids, run errands, etc. However, the only thing that is expected of a man is to provide for his family.

My question is; who came up with all these stereotypes? Stereotypes according to google is a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. God created us all equal and the fact that your gender determines how people view and treat you is bogus. Men might be physically strong but are mentally weak minded compared to women. Women are stronger mentally because we tend to mature quicker than boys. Before boys become men their thinking revolves around sex. Men get tempted way faster and easier than women, yet society will still find an excuse as to why they behave like this. Society will hit us with; “They are still young, they’ll grow out of it” or “Men think differently.”

But who said women were obligated to wait around on men? God didn’t create us women to be stepped over or considered of lesser value. He created us women so the man will not be alone; to be their companion and to be their rib. “Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to live alone. I will make a suitable companion to help him.” (‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:18‬ ‭GNT‬‬) This world is governed mostly by men and it is only getting worse. It’s time for more women to rise up and stop being complacent with just being a “housewife.” God created us to be more than a man’s trophy. We have our own destinies to reach also. Let’s stop putting man up on this pedostile. Whatever a man can achieve a woman can do 10 times better.

We sometimes don’t realize our own power because of the world’s view on us. We get so carried away pleasing others… What about what makes us happy? We always go out of our way to protect man, but who is protecting us? God wants us to know we don’t have to play superwomen anymore. We don’t have to carry weight that is not ours. Every tear we have ever cried, He has already counted. Did you know women played a big role in helping Jesus ascend to greater power? Jesus considers us as models of his faith. Jesus publicly included women in His ministry when women were counted out and treated less than men. Therefore, whenever you feel down or want to give up, remember God will always choose you.

      1. It is an interesting topic, for sure. Though my personal experience is the opposite. I’m a 31 year old male who most of my life have worked under female management. I also personally know many female police officers and firefighters, more so then male.
