Give Thanks to the Lord in the Storm

11 “You have changed my sadness into a joyful dance; you have taken away my sorrow and surrounded me with joy. 12 So I will not be silent; I will sing praise to you. Lord, you are my God; I will give you thanks forever.” (‭‭Psalm‬ ‭30:11-12‬ ‭GNT‬‬)

Will you still give thanks to God even when you don’t get your way? Will you still consider Jesus your savior? Will your heart still be full of praise for them? Or Will your faith be destroyed with disbelief? The outcome of the storm depends on if you’re still able to thank Jesus during the struggles. It’s not always going to be rainbows but in your heart you will know this is only temporary. A temporary struggle. Temporary pain. Temporary circumstances. One thing I have learned from all the storms I’ve endured is that they always come to pass. The darkness turns into light. The sorrows turn to joy. The wilderness is only temporary, don’t stay stuck in it. Overcome the storm because you’ll come out stronger than when you went into it.

You might be in a storm but God still woke you up this morning. Think of all the people that didn’t wake up today. This is a blessing in itself. As a matter of fact, this is always the first blessing of your everyday life. This means you still have a purpose on this earth and that He still needs you here. It’s the little things that matter even during the storm. Praise Jesus in advance for the outcome. Determine the outcome of your storm before it’s even over. You have the power with your thoughts and words. All you need to do is believe it with your heart and declare it with your mouth. Don’t be lukewarm, put some faith in it. Remember the Holy Spirit lives inside of us, we are already equipped with everything we need within us to overcome any obstacles. God wouldn’t give us more than we can handle.
