36 “You need to be patient, in order to do the will of God and receive what he promises. 37 For, as the scripture says, “Just a little while longer, and he who is coming will come; he will not delay.” (Hebrews 10:36-37 GNT)
Patience is something God has been helping me work on. Even though it may seem like nothing is happening that is when God is working behind the scenes. God always brings to fruition what He promises us. We have to endure and it seems like a long wait but don’t worry because when Jesus appears He will suddenly make it happen. In the moment we might have to endure but once we have the promise we won’t even remember the wait.
God’s timing is everything. We don’t want what’s for us before it’s time because we will not be ready for it. When we wait and put our trust in God we are walking in His will. He is working on strengthening our faith by having us believe in what we cannot see. “To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1 GNT) Jesus already knows what’s ahead and the path we need to take. So why not trust Him?
