Practice Makes Perfect

“Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice.” (‭‭James‬ ‭1:22‬ ‭GNT‬‬)

In today’s world we have many guides to teach us how to do many things. Think about it… if we want to learn how to do something all we have to do is ask the internet, another person or read books. Imagine wanting to bake a cake and you search up on google the instructions but do not follow anything it said. What was the point of even having the instructions if you’re not going to follow them? This is exactly how the world treats God. We have everything we need to succeed in life in the book most people overlook. Some read the Bible and think it is a joke. Others read it and only remember it for a little while and then turn back to their ways.

However, those that actually apply the Bible to their life in all they do will reap an abundance amount of harvest. “But if you look closely into the perfect law that sets people free, and keep on paying attention to it and do not simply listen and then forget it, but put it into practice—you will be blessed by God in what you do.” (‭James‬ ‭1:25‬ ‭GNT‬‬) Don’t just read the Bible, let the Bible read you. Put into practice everything it teaches you so that when people see you they can see Christ. Everything you do for the kingdom of light will be blessed. You and your family will never lack anything because you already have food. Not physical food but food for the soul.
