“Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the LORD is coming, For it is at hand: (Joel 2:1 NKJV)
We might not know the exact day or time but you can guarantee the day of our Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. The son himself does not even know the day or the hour He will come but you already know Jesus is prepared. Just like our savior we need to be prepared also. The world might not be able to perceive it but everything is not just happening for no reason. All the destruction and chaos that can happen will happen, before His grand appearance.
Therefore, repent if you haven’t given your life to Jesus. “So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.” (Joel 2:13 NKJV) Doesn’t it scare you that He can appear any minute, hour or day? What would you do if Jesus came right now? Would you be ready? The greatest question of all is: Would you make it to Heaven at this very moment?
Don’t get so caught up with what’s happening around you that you forget to get caught up with Jesus. We are living in times where every distraction you can think of is occurring. “Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right side of God’s throne.” (Hebrews 12:2 GNT)
You do not want to get caught slipping by Jesus. Imagine that you’re going on about your life and boom our Lord Savior comes to rescue those whom He loves. Imagine Jesus telling you “I never knew you. Get away from me, you wicked people!” (Matthew 7:23 GNT) I don’t know about you but all I want to hear is “Well done good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:23) Personally I don’t like being hot so the lake of fire is not for me. My mission is Heaven and if this ain’t yours too…. What are you really fighting for?
