I never had a role model. Growing up I didn’t have anybody I wanted to be like. Instead, I had people all around me whose footsteps I did not want to follow. I’ve learned to do the right things in my life by mostly learning from the decisions others have made in theirs. However, everything changed when I found Jesus. Jesus can never find us because He already knew us since before our mothers womb (Jeremiah 1:5). Jesus is my role model and I aspire to be a reflection of Him. I will not be perfect like Him but I can try my best. I pray to possess even just a little bit of him: His mind, His Heart, His Ways, His Love, etc. When all is said and done I just want to hear him tell me, “Well done good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)
