I was watching this movie called “God’s not dead” and this lady in the movie stated “sometimes the enemy lets people live a life free of misery so they don’t turn to Jesus”. I don’t know about you but this explains why a lot of people that are cruel and mean look like they have everything. However, in reality those very people are very lonely. This makes me more compassionate towards people like that because the enemy is just using them. Moving forward, remember “Many are called, but only a few are chosen”. (Matthew 22:14) I rather be chosen and live a life with pain and have Jesus than not know Jesus at all. I rather my soul be at peace than to have it all but still feel like something is missing.
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. (Matthew 5:11) This verse doesn’t say unhappy are you or lonely you are or miserable you’ll be when people insult you… etc. It states blessed are you because you’re not suffering for the world or for yourself, you’re suffering for Jesus who suffered for us. Jesus got crucified for our sins and He did not have to do it but He did. The majority of the world would not risk their life for another human being but Jesus did because He is selfless not selfish. “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life and an abundance of it.” (John 10:10)
